Here’s just a little info about me ~
I’m a native Texan (fifth generation, but don’t get me started). I live in the suburbs of Austin, Texas with my amazing musician husband, a Miniature Dachshund named Jonah, and two rescued cats named Yukon and Little Cat. I have two absolutely wonderful and talented grown sons (let me brag a bit!).
I was a stay-at-home mom for about seven years, and then I worked part-time and full-time for Round Rock ISD during the next twelve years. Since August of 2010 I’ve worked for the Physical Sciences Department at Austin Community College. I keep their computers running, wrangle their websites, coordinate their social media sites, design flyers, graphics, and multiple types of documents, and provide all kinds of technical support. I’m also a member of the ACCHaoS gang, a traveling hands-on science outreach program that visits schools, day camps and other events, with the goal of showing the world that science is fun. And doable. All of this keeps me busy…and happy. I love my job.
In my spare time I am a writer, a reader, and an occasional quilter. I’m also a news junkie. I spend too much time on Facebook and Twitter.
